Ann Bridges applies layers of translucent inks directly to the picture surface. Hidden colours are revealed by drawing into the ink and wiping off areas that are not quite dry. In this way the richness of the image is gradually built up. The finished pictures are usually referred to as monoprints, one-off original pieces of work.
Workshop participants will use three colours (oil based printing inks)and will make stencils and/or use found objects to produce lots of colourful pieces of work using a printing press.
