Life drawing and Sketchbook course
for A level Students Autumn 2008

Where? At the Royal Cambrian Academy, Crown Lane, Conwy. LL32 8AN( just off the high street, a short walk up Crown lane, behind Plas Mawr)

When? Tuesday evenings
21st October – Experimental Sketchbook
4th November- Life drawing with drawing materilas
11th November- Life drawing with colour

25th November - Life drawing with drawing materials
2nd Decmeber - Life drawing with colour
9th Decmeber - Experimental Sketchbook

Time? 7pm-9pm

Cost? £10 for the three sessions

Artist Eleri Jones will be running the two life drawing classes . Each session will focus on different approaches to drawing from the model, experiment with various materials and look at work by other artists. (some materials will be provided but please bring your own also )

Artist Wendy Couling will be running the sketchbook workshop. Wendy’s paintings and sketchbooks are created through layering lots of photographs and text that are combined together with experimental use of media. She will show you how to use some of her techniques in your own sketchbook. EACH STUDENT MUST BRING A COLLECTION OF NEWSPAPER CUTTINGS OF IMAGES AND TEXT AND SOME OLD PHOTOGRAPHS ALONG WITH THEIR SKETCH BOOKS (A4 SIZE IS RECOMMENDED)
